The Accordion of Ignorance

In the heart of the streets, where truths fall apart,
There’s an accordion tune, a discordant start.
Where reason is quieted, shadowed and dimmed,
And they dance to a beat that’s cruel and grim.

They sing of a man with words like a slap,
With a mouth full of lies and hands that grab.
Yet on and on, they cheer his charms,
Blind to the rage in the world’s open arms.
