What a Wonderful Dog

I see tails a-waggin’, soft furry coats
Paws in the grass, fetching sticks and bones
And I think to myself, what a wonderful dog

I see skies of blue, and walks in the park
Best friends at home, cozy nights in the dark
And I think to myself, what a wonderful dog

Noses sniffing the world, and sparks that fills their eyes,
The playful leaps and bounds, under goofy skies,
I see friends shaking paws, saying, “Howl do you do?”
But(t) really saying “I love you.”

I hear snores in the night, the hope in each sound,
The happiness they bring, when they’re rolling around,
And I think to myself, what a wonderful dog
